Ronnie Boyd Workman having been born of goodly parents returned to his Heavenly home on September 5, 2022. Ronnie was born September 30, 1959 to Boyd and Sharon Workman. Ronnie married Jill Workman on December 27, 1980. From this union they had 4 children Brittney Hawk, Jared Workman, Brady Workman, and Ri'Leigh Stone. Ronnie had a youthful spirit and a Christlike heart. Ronnie's greatest Joy was his family. He loved his children and loved and adored his grandchildren. Ronnie had a big heart. He was a friend to everyone he met. Ronnie spent his life serving those he loved. Whether it was simple or grand acts of service he was there to serve anyone in need. Ronnie had a passion for the outdoors. His greatest love was hunting. He had a reputation of being the best houndsman/bear hunter in the Basin and he certainly was. He had a talent and gift of training and raising the best hound dogs. He passed this gift and passion to his sons. He loved to camp, fish, and one of his greatest hobbies he enjoyed was gardening. He grew an abundant garden and he loved sharing his harvest with friends, family and neighbors. He had competitions with his friends at work, who could grow the first tomato and the biggest watermelon. He enjoyed canning and making sauerkraut and pickles. He was overjoyed in the spring when he could take his grandkids to watch the fireflies light up the fields. In the fall you would find him with his grandchildren searching for caterpillars to bring home to watch them transform into beautiful butterflies and set them free. Ronnie was a hard worker. He started his career at Mountain fuel and worked with the gas company for 43 years. Making long lasting friendships with many coworkers through the years. Ronnie will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, family, and anyone blessed to have known him. Ronnie is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Workman. Mother-in-law Carol Williamson and Father-in-law Glen Hansen Sr. Grandparents Vere and Lola Wilson, Floyd and Reva Workman. Brothers-in-law Willis Anderson and David Williamson. Sister-in-law Susan Smuin. Sister-in-law Amy Hansen, Nephews Marvin J.R. Jackson, Bucky Westwood and David Calder. Great Nieces Stella and Lola Allen. Ronnie is survived by his wife Jill Workman. Children Brittney (Shawn) Hawk, Jared Workman, Brady (Erin) Workman, Ri'Leigh (Mark) Stone. Grandchildren Raeven Spendlove, Gabriel Spendlove, Journey Workman, Haddalyn Workman, Baby Boy Workman, Scarlett Stone, Dante' Stone, Roman Stone, and Anthem Stone. Father Boyd (Elaine) Workman. Siblings Kerri (Jeff) Calder, Diane Workman, Lance (Amy) Workman, and Angela Redmond. Sister-in-law Sandra (Steve) Westwood, Sister-in-law Julie Morgan, Brother-in-law Devon Smuin, Brother-in-law Glen (Diane) Hansen, Sister-in-law Kalene (Chris) Gamble, Brother-in-law Wayne Hansen And many nieces and nephews Funeral services for Ronnie Boyd Workman, age 62, of Vernal, husband of Jill Workman will be held Saturday 11:00am at the Ashley 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (3040 North Vernal Avenue). A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Saturday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
