Russell Gowen

Russell Wade Gowen passed away October 26, 2015 in Lander, Wyoming. Russell was born November 30, 1978 to Dale and Jan Gowen in Vernal, Utah. He was the youngest of four children. Russell married the love of his life, Brooke Murray Gowen on April 13, 2002 and together had three children: Kutter, Jordan and Heston. Russell loved Vernal, but fell in love with his new home in Lander, Wyoming where he enjoyed anything outdoors, as well as spoiling his children. They were everything to him, he was proud of everything they accomplished. Russell was a family man, his family meant the world to him. He always made sure everyone of them was taken care of and loved. Russell had a contagious smile and a one of a kind laugh. You may have left us too soon but your spirit will live on with us forever. Russell is preceded in death by his father Dale Gowen and many grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Brooke Gowen and three children: Kutter, Jordan and Heston (Lander, Wyoming); Mother Jan Gowen, Siblings: Richard (Alisha) Gowen, Michele (Donnie) Frederick, Nikki (Skyler) Ruud (all of Vernal); In-Laws: Robert Murray, Leah and Jim Hornecker, Kip, Candice, Kaeli and Josh. Grandparents: Marvis (Larry) Wilson, Rose Murray; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and 14 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11AM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing was held Thursday evening from 4-6PM and Friday 9:30-10:45AM prior to the funeral services. Interment was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.

A memorial service will also be held in Lander, Wyoming at a later date for friends and family unable to attend the funeral.
