Rusty Charles Thunehorst

Rusty Charles Thunehorst passed away June 4, 2020 at the age of 44. Rusty was born on July 27, 1975 to Betty Lee and Charles (Chuck) Thunehorst in Vernal, Utah. Rusty was the Marketing Manager of the Vernal City Recovery Day Coalition and the Marketing Manager of the Brittney Smith Foundation, Inc. He dedicated the last several years of his life to helping people reach sobriety through NA. He enjoyed attending concerts, watching movies and coin collecting. He was artistic and often found various outlets for his creativity including: wood working and making jewelry. He loved spending time with his family and friends and had a distinct laugh. He is survived by Jesika Robertson (daughter), Jacob Spalding (son), Chance Morris (son) and Brendon Thunehorst (son), Betty Lee (mother), and Carol Atwood (grandmother) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandparents, his father and his twin brother. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 11:00a.m. at the Vernal Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West).
