Ruth Ann (Haxton) Hatch

Ruth Ann Haxton Hatch passed away on January 22,2025 at the age of 81. Ruth Ann was born on April 6, 1943 to Elsie Sophia Dorthea Haxton and Harvey Ellsworth Haxton in Minot, North Dakota. Ruth Ann married Cloyd Ralph Hatch on June 6, 1962 in Vernal Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 4 children, Marty, Kerry, Pennie and Cloyd Jr. After Cloyd's Passing on September 25, 2018, Ruth met and married her friend Roland Grover. They later divorced but remained friends helping take care of each other. Ruth Ann loved to travel. Her favorite place to travel to was Hawaii. She loved everything about the Hawaiian Islands. She loved going on the truck with Cloyd. She was able to see and experience many things across the nation. She was a hard worker and held many jobs, but her favorite job was when she became a nurse. She was a remarkable nurse and was able to care for so many people. She was able to show them love and compassion as she cared for them. She was able to mentor and teach other nurses while working as well. She worked for Uintah Basin Medical Center for her entire nursing career. After she retired from the hospital, she remained working as a nurse and would take ambulance runs to Salt Lake. She absolutely loved being a nurse and taking care of others, especially her own family. God took His best angels and made them nurses. She is survived by her children, Kerry (Jana) Hatch, Pennie (Ryan) Jackson, and Cloyd Jr. (Kari) Hatch. Her grandchildren, Cassie (Matt) Armes, Sammie (Jordan) Page, Mallorie Hatch, Makinley (Jordan) Chamberlain. Her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Emmalee, Everlee and Angie. Her sister, Velma Smith She is preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Ralph Hatch, her son Marty Lane Hatch, her parents and eight of her nine siblings. Services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing for family and friends will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 10:45 am - 11:45 am prior to the funeral services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Naples Beehive Home for showing so much love and compassion and taking such great care of Ruth. And the staff at Canyons Home Health for caring for her with so much love and compassion as well.
