Ruth B (Hodgkinson) Winn

Ruth Winn, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 95. Born on September 23, 1929, in Vernal, Utah, Ruth grew up in a large family of 11 siblings. She married Ronald C. Winn in 1949, and their love story spanned decades. Ruth devoted her life to raising her four children and nurturing countless others in the community. A talented artist, she created hundreds of paintings, many of which are cherished by her family. Her deep faith guided her service in various church callings and at the Vernal Temple. An adventurous spirit, Ruth loved to travel and collect butterflies, sharing stories from her Lds mission in Scotland. She was known for making ordinary moments special, creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Ruth is survived by her children, Karen (Boyce) Coombs, Terry (Kathy) Winn, Jana( Malry) McKeachnie, Corey (Traci) Winn, and her special Scottish daughter Pamela (Frank) Coyle. She is reunited in death with her husband, Ronald, her son-in-law Malry, and many cherished family members. Ruth's legacy of love and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Funeral services for Ruth Winn, age 95, of Vernal, will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Ashley 3rd Ward LDS Chapel 235 East 600 South. A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be held at the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
