Sandra Nielson

Sandra Rae Nielson, age 64 of Vernal, wife of Elliotte Nielson, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her home. Sandra Nielson married the love of her life Elliotte Nielson on January 10, 1980, just one month after meeting each other. They later had 4 children Elliotte James Nielson, Cassandra Rae Nielson, Norman Mark Nielson and Ricky Lee Nielson creatng the beautiful little family she wanted.

In the late 90's she found her little piece of heaven in Vernal, Utah. She loved working in her yard she was so proud of it. Her children gave her many grandkids that she loved to watch play in her yard. Home was always full of laughter and love a safe place for the whole family.

Sandra was a great mother, grandmother and wife. She was many things in her life; a waitress, cook, bartender and cab driver touching so many people’s lives with the light she carried inside. She enjoyed driving and seeing all her people's smiling faces but don't slam her door or you would hear about it. She never sugar coated anything if you asked her something you better be prepared for the truth.

She loved going for drives with her husband to see all the colors in the fall and loved taking a dip in the river whenever she got the chance. Her smile would light up the room the moment she walked in making friends anywhere she went. The life of the party is definitely what she was and I’m sure she is the life of the party in whatever journey she is on now.

Visitation for Sandra will be held Sunday, November 9th from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Following the visitation, per Sandra's wishes she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held later this month.
