Saralyn M. Rogers, age 79, of Vernal, Utah, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Saralyn was born on May 15, 1946, in Vernal, Utah, to Marinda “Rin” and Lyle Glen “Penny” Murray. She was blessed with two sincere loves that shaped her life. She married Raymond Carl Staley on June 13, 1964, in Vernal. Together they shared 26 adventure-filled years and welcomed one daughter, Brandi Lynn. Raymond passed away on September 16, 1990.
Saralyn found love again and married Fredrick “Rick” Rogers on January 11, 1993. They shared 33 years together in a partnership defined by companionship, adventure, and unwavering support.
Saralyn filled her days with the things that brought her happiness: reading, trips to the cabin, four-wheeler and side-by-side rides, boating, golfing, and cheering on her daughter Brandi—and later her granddaughter Kati—at their ball games. For Brandi, she created a childhood filled with laughter, cousins, and a deep sense of belonging. That was who she was—always thinking of others, always building family.
Beautiful inside and out, Saralyn possessed a quiet grit that defined her. She faced multiple sclerosis with determination, fighting it with strength, knowledge, and a commitment to staying physically active.
She is survived by her husband Rick Rogers, daughter Brandi (Jim) Moore, granddaughter Katilyn “Kati” Moore, sisters Deanna (Kent) McCurdy and Marinda (Mac) Ross, stepsons Chris Rogers and Chad Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Carl Staley; her parents, Penny and Rin Murray; and her siblings, Meriel Peterson, Joe Murray, Bob Murray, Bill Murray, Betty Ann Murray, David Murray, and Mary Smuin.
Funeral services for Saralyn will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12 p.m. at the Uintah Conference Center. A visitation and viewing will be held Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the Uintah Conference Center. Interment will follow at Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
