Scott Peterson Allred, age 75, was born February 21, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Miles and Wanda Allred. Scott passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on April 23, 2026.
Scott proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee for two years. He was born and raised LDS. After returning home, he met the love of his life, Karen, while cruising State Street with a friend. Six months later, they were married on September 10, 1971. Together, they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage and raised four children: two daughters and twin sons.
Scott spent most of his life working in the oilfield and later worked 15 years in construction in Las Vegas. He was a hard worker who loved his family deeply and always provided for those he loved. He enjoyed camping and running the mountains with his horses side by side, as well as running Bear with his dogs. He loved spending summers barbecuing with his kids and grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his children, Kimberly, Mindy, and twin sons Marc and Todd; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Allred; his parents, Miles and Wanda Allred; his brothers, Gordon, Kim, and Kelly Allred; his grandson, Marc "Bubbers" Allred; and his great-grandson, Tyler Scott VanCampen.
Scott will be greatly missed and forever loved. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing he is reunited once again with Karen. Until we meet again, give Mama/Mampa kisses for us all.
Rest in peace, Daddy/Pops/Gramps. We love and miss you so much already.
Celebration of life for Scott will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:00pm ~ 4:00pm at the Davis 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (4080 East 2500 South).
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating directly to Venmo @Mindy-VanCampen for funeral expenses.
