Shaun Galen Oaks

Shaun GaLen Oaks, 59, of Vernal, Utah, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Vernal, Utah.

Shaun was born on March 10, 1967, in Vernal, Utah, to GaLynn and Lila Oaks. He grew up and lived in Vernal, Utah.

Shaun was known for his pleasant demeanor and easy going, joyful personality. Though he faced many physical challenges throughout his life, he remained cheerful and maintained a wonderful attitude that inspired those around him. He also had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for the warmth, laughter, and kindness he brought to those around him.

Shaun lived at the Uintah Care Center during the last 14 years of his life. The family would like to thank the staff for the excellent care he received at the Care Center.

Shaun is survived by his parents, GaLynn and Lila Oaks; and his siblings, Gina Strole (Robert), Ryan Oaks, Nichole Young (Ryan), and Kelly Gray. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Oaks.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:00PM at the Maeser 7th Ward Chapel (2745 West 1000 North). A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday 11:30-12:30PM at the Church. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.

Shaun will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
