Sherma Jean (Oaks) Workman

Sherma Jean Oaks Workman passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at her home in Vernal, Utah on Monday, March 3rd, 2025. Sherma was born on June 7th, 1949 to Ivan L. And Jean Stacy Oaks in Vernal, Utah. She married Sherman Layne Workman, May 20th, 1970. They later divorced. Her greatest loves were her three children, and two grandchildren. Sherma was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings throughout her life. Sherma had many interests. Home improvement projects, yard work, watching Utah Jazz basketball, and teaching dance and baton are just a few examples. But more than anything, she enjoyed the time she spent with family. Sherma is preceded in death by her parents and son Kacy Workman. She is survived by daughters, Shayni Workman, and Jodi (Vance) King, both of Vernal, Utah, brother Cregg (Vicki) Oaks, Heber, Utah, granddaughter Kristian King, Orem, Utah, and grandson Nicolas King, Vernal, Utah. Funeral services for Sherma will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Glines LDS Stake Center (78 South Aggie Blvd). A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday morning 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Sherma will be greatly missed.
