Stephen LeRoy Urry passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was born July 16, 1946 to Marcella and Roy Urry in the L.D.S. Hospital. Stephen grew up with three younger brothers and two sisters: Larry, Becky, Barry, Rob and Liz.
He served as a missionary in the Washington, Oregon and Idaho mission.
Steve met his wife Kathy in the Orchestra as both were cellist. Kathy was 18 and Steve 21 when they married in the Salt Lake Temple. They had nine children altogether, with six adopted special need babies: Melinda and Lon White, Steve and Linda Urry, Amy and Trevor Smith, David, John, Sara, Joshua, Robbie and Laura.
Steve loved the Savior, family, music, and adored his 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a great man!
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:00pm at Davis 1st Ward LDS Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). A visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00am ~ 12:45pm all at the church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
