Taunya Kae Ellifritz

Taunya Ellifritz (Kae to her family) was born February 2, 1960 and passed away in her home in Vernal, Utah on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020, after a battle with cancer. Sweet and soft spoken is how most people described her. While she barely spoke above a whisper most of her life, her temper and stubbornness were not something to mess with. But Taunya was selfless, and an extremely hard worker, typically working 2-3 jobs most of her life. Simply put, she was just a badass woman, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend tough as nails. Taunya prioritized her three children and grandchildren in life. She loved them with her whole heart - to the moon and back. Taunya is survived by her children, Jaime Ellifritz and Dwight Ellifritz; adopted son Dennis; sisters, Robyn Keen and Shauna (Larry) Woolman; and grandkids (Justin, Dakota, Alexa, Clayton, Kelsey, Dillon, Tyson, Rebecca, Keeton, Zyler, Jaden, Destiny, David, and Bennie) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, adopted family, and friends. Taunya is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Jarvis, and her beloved son, Clifton Ellifritz. His death broke her heart and our only comfort is that she is reunited in death with Clif and finally at peace from pain. Taunya will be deeply missed by her family, and friends for the sweet and loving soul that she was. Rest in peace mom - our sweet angel Kae.
