Taylor Thompson

Taylor Thompson Jr. was born on July 6, 1941 in Fort Gay, WV and passed away on January 17, 2023 at Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah surrounded by family. His parents were Taylor Thompson Sr. and Mary Manord Thompson from Fort Gay, WV. Taylor lived in Rangely, CO then moved to Vernal, UT where he lived until his passing. He was married twice and had 4 daughters with Mary Alta Earley (Christina Ann, Ruby Mae, Jeanette Gay and Tanya Lynn). He also had 2 daughters with Peggy Thompson (Angel Faith and Lisa Marie). Taylor has 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, including Christopher, Shelby, Andrew, Patrick, Ashley, Kayla, Kolton, Victoria, Conrad, Lovella, and Lucas. Taylor's surviving siblings are his brothers, Larry and Tommy, and his sister, Martha. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents,Taylor Thompson Sr. and Mary Manord, his brother James, sister Gayle, and great grandson Lucas. Taylor loved to go to the Golden Age Center and play pool, and was a permanent fixture at the Friday night dances. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday January 20, 2023 from 1:00pm ~ 2:00pm at the Vernal 8th Ward chapel (1499 West Hwy 40). Inurnment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery in the spring.
