Troy Lane Abplanalp

Troy Lane Abplanalp, age 53, of Ephraim, Utah, formerly of Vernal, Utah, passed away on June 2nd, 2022. He was born on September 20th, 1968 to Wanda and Larry Abplanalp in Monticello, Utah. He graduated from Uintah High School and then obtained a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at Weber State University. Troy grew up loving the outdoors. He spent much of his time camping with his family, looking for arrowheads, and barbecuing. He especially loved to fish and was particularly fond of the Green River. He excelled at his work wherever he went, whether in sales or more currently as an admissions counselor where he provided hope and healing for at-risk youth. He also had a natural ability for landscaping and enjoyed coin collecting. He had a passion for the gym, weightlifting, and being physically fit. He is survived by his wife Stacie Starr Abplanalp; his children, Kyson Abplanalp (Payton), McCall Wilcox (Samuel), and Keyen Abplanalp (Michelle); whom he shared with his former spouse, Sharyn Abplanalp; step-children, Jeremy, ShyAnn, Kaydence, Sierra, and Kambree; grandchildren, Rosie Grace, Beckam Troy, and Ries James (due in July), as well as five step-grandchildren; parents, Wanda and Larry Abplanalp; siblings; Shaun, Lance, Jence, Kam, and Mindi, many nieces and nephews, and lots of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his infant twin brothers, Randi and Ricki, step-granddaughter Kayzlee, and grandparents. Funeral services for Troy will be held Wednesday June 8, 2022 at 11:00am at the Glines 6th Ward Chapel (78 South Aggie BLVD). Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home, and Wednesday from 9:30am - 10:30am at the church. Interment in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
