Como carpintero hábil, Ubaldo podía construir o reparar casi cualquier cosa. Desde echar los cimientos de ladrillo hasta techos y plomería, se enorgullecía de entregar un trabajo de calidad hecho con sus propias manos. Creía en hacer las cosas bien y en proveer para aquellos a quienes amaba.

Ubaldo tenía un espíritu alegre que iluminaba cualquier lugar. Amaba acampar en la naturaleza, asistir a la iglesia y compartir una buena risa. En sus últimos años, Ubaldo encontró un hermoso segundo capítulo en Vernal, Utah. Después de separarse de su primer matrimonio, conoció y construyó una vida junto a Angelina Ozaeta. Junto a los hijos de ella, Jose C. Gabriel y Maria G. Gabriel, le dieron una segunda oportunidad de formar una familia. Quienes estuvieron más cerca de él vieron a un hombre que había crecido, aprendido del pasado y abrazado la paz y la felicidad. Aplicó las lecciones de su vida con un amor renovado y se convirtió en la mejor versión de sí mismo.

Ubaldo es sobrevivido por su esposa Angelina Ozaeta; sus hijos David A. Ozaeta y Ubaldo F. Ozaeta Jr.; y sus hijastros Jose C. Gabriel y Maria G. Gabriel, junto con otros familiares y amigos. Deja un legado de resiliencia, generosidad, humor y la fuerza tranquila de un hombre que siguió mejorando hasta el final.

Una celebración de su vida se llevará a cabo en una fecha posterior. En lugar de flores, la familia agradece las memorias y anécdotas de Ubaldo compartidas entre quienes lo quisieron.

Ubaldo Z. Ozaeta, 64, of Vernal, Utah, passed away on May 27, 2026. Born in Juárez, Mexico on May 16, 1962, Ubaldo lived a full life marked by hard work, laughter, and a deep love for family and the outdoors.

He spent many years in Wichita, Kansas, where he raised his sons, David A. Ozaeta and Ubaldo F. Ozaeta Jr., alongside their mother, Zoila A. Silva. A skilled carpenter by trade, Ubaldo could build or fix nearly anything. From laying brick foundations to roofing and plumbing, he took great pride in delivering quality work with his hands. He believed in doing things right and providing for those he loved.

Ubaldo had a joyful spirit that lit up any room. He loved camping in nature, attending church, and sharing a good laugh. His playful quirks-like answering the phone with "Yellow!" instead of "Hello"-never failed to bring smiles.

Generous to a fault, he would give his last dollar to someone in need, even if it left him with nothing. He loved his coffee strong and always had a witty saying to match.

In his later years, Ubaldo found a beautiful second chapter in Vernal, Utah. After separating from his first marriage, he met and built a life with Angelina Ozaeta. Together with her children, Jose C. Gabriel and Maria G. Gabriel, they gave him a second chance at family. Those closest to him saw a man who had grown, learned from the past, and embraced peace and happiness. He applied the lessons of his life with renewed love and became the best version of himself.

Ubaldo is survived by his wife Angelina Ozaeta; his sons David A. Ozaeta and Ubaldo F. Ozaeta Jr.; and his stepchildren Jose C. Gabriel and Maria G. Gabriel, along with other extended family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, generosity, humor, and the quiet strength of a man who kept improving until the end.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memories and stories of Ubaldo shared among those who loved him.

Though we grieve, we are grateful for the many sides of Ubaldo-the hardworking father, the playful friend, and the man who found joy and peace in his later years. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the laughter, the love of nature, and the kindness he showed so freely.

Funeral Service for Ubaldo Ozaeta will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 10:00am at the Phillips Ashely Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West). Viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 5:00pm ~ 9:00pm and thursday from 8:45am ~ 9:45am all at the mortuary.
