Vaneta Miller

November 9, 1949 — July 19, 2025

Dolan Springs, AZ & Vernal, UT

Vaneta (Johnson) Miller, age 76 of Dolan Springs, Arizona, formerly of Vernal, Utah, passed away on July 19, 2025 in Kingman, Arizona. She was born November 9th, 1949 to Maxine and Eldona Johnson in Vernal, Utah joining the family with her sister Dorleen, and her brothers, Mike, Ross, Errol, and Aaron. She married the love of her life Lynn Miller in the year of 1968 then sealed in the temple in 1969.

Vaneta has three daughters, Shellette, Choya, and Shawbarrie, and five sons, Deakon, Coy, Gus, Char, and Nate. Vaneta was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called upon many missions and roles within the church. Vanetas favorite scripture was 1 Nephi 1:1.

She was born and raised in Vernal, yet found love for the dessert and service of God in Dolan Springs, Arizona. Moving back and forth twice she knew everyone in town and would explain where everyone once lived and their family history just by passing a road. Vaneta would take you on just a trip down the road but it turned into an all day adventure down a dirt road. Vaneta was a huge crafter who would crochet until her hands hurt and draw beautiful murals on walls and bedrooms for the sake of her family. Vaneta would woodwork small and big projects for home renovations with her husband Lynn. Vaneta was the light of everyone’s lives and brought humor, love, and togetherness wherever she was.

Vaneta was cared for by all of her 20 grandchildren, her 21 great grandchildren and she gave them all of her love. Vaneta was a huge animal lover and was always taking in strays, more dogs, and even goats.

Vaneta was proceeded in death by her grandson, Brandon Miller, her grandson, Skyler Bailey, her daughter, Choya Miller, and her parents Maxine and Eldona Johnson.

Vaneta had chosen to donate her body to science and a celebration of life will be held in the middle of September to remember this wonderful woman. Vaneta will be missed greatly and continued in the hearts and thoughts of generations to come. To the world she was just a good friend but to her family she was the world.

"May the peace and comfort of our Father in heaven bring its healing influence to all who are called upon to mourn and to bear affliction."
