Verla (Roper) Cook

Verla Roper Cook passed away on June 30, 2021 at the age of 87. Verla was born on November 8, 1933 to Marcella Kidd and Bryant Laroe Roper in Vernal, Utah Verla married Darvel W. Cook one October 22, 1953 in Vernal, Utah. She is survived by her children: Dave (Brenda) Cook, Darla (Morgan) Caldwell, Verlyn (Ann) Cook, Linda (Allan) Holmes, Nyle (Jolene) Cook; sisters: Yvonne (Kermit) Harrison, Zelma Lyons, Elaine (Cleve) Karren; and brother Clifton (Maria) Roper; she has 25 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Verla is preceded in death by her spouse, parents, brothers Lloyd and Clayton Roper, son Shane Cook, granddaughter Nikki Lee Cook. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00a.m. at the Ashley 2nd Ward Chapel (3040 North Vernal Avenue). A viewing for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6:00-7:30p.m. at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Tuesday 9:45-10:45a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
