Wayne Hollenbeck Nelson

Wayne Hollenbeck Nelson passed away at his home in Vernal, Utah surrounded by his family on February 25, 2016. Wayne was born on July 27, 1936 in Vernal, Utah to Marie Hollenbeck and Marion Harden Nelson. Wayne married Lonnie Kaye Hall on January 18, 1968 in Naples, Utah. Together they have one daughter Nikki. Wayne was activated with the National Guard at Fort Lewis, Washington in the 1960's. He worked in the oil and gas industry for many years, and retired as owner of The Pit Liner Company in 1995. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, horseshoes and river rafting with his family and friends. Wayne is survived by his wife Lonnie Nelson; daughter Nikki (Ray) Lund; sister Marian (Virg) Jensen and grandsons Carson and Parker Lund. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and brother Harden Nelson. At his request there will be no memorial service.
