William Virgil Postma (Wild Bill) went to dine and drink and dance in the halls of his fathers on June 21, 2026. William was born to Genevive Ainge and Joseph Postma of Vernal, Utah on April 25, 1955. William was larger than life and a legend to many. He was a wealth of charismatic contradictions--with a gleam in his eye and a devious smile, he could spin a yarn that sent you home in a blanket. He loved to entertain, but didn't mind solitude either. He spoke softly, but his voice carried and could fill a room. He was as clever and generous as he was mischievous and mercurial. He was a poet and a wordsmith, a gentleman and a joker.

He was parts country cowboy, blue-collar, salt of the earth, and a Hank Williams/Merle Haggard style outlaw through and through. He was as at home riding horses in the mountains, desert/Bookcliffs, forests, and farm as he was shooting pool and enjoying the hustle and bustle of a day/night on the town. He absolutely loved spending time at the family farm.. watching the yellow-green grass grow and the cows and sheep graze it.. watching and helping his boys (and family) breathe new life into old things and reviving seemingly forgotten traditions.

Though, it's probably fair to say that his favorite title in the whole world... wound up being 'Grandpa William/Bill'. If you saw him dancing with his granddaughters, telling stories and talking shop with a grandson, or holding wide-smiling-faced, giggling great-grandkids--You might think he'd been built just for it. Bill was a proud 'papa' and enjoyed letting people know it. He loved his family and made great effort to remind them often. He regarded his daughter/granddaughter-in-laws like family that'd been there since the start and cherished houses they made into homes around his family.

William's warmth and wisdom will be missed dearly and forgotten never.
