W. Lyle Smith Jr. passed away on September 11, 2015 at the age of 77 in Vernal, Utah. He was born on November 4, 1937 to Wilson Lyle Smith Sr. and Fern Hamblin Smith in Farmington, New Mexico.
Lyle married Alvarita "Rita" Chavez in Bloomfield, New Mexico.
Lyle loved traveling, fishing, hunting, camping and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His happiest times were at family get-togethers.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Rita Smith; two daughters: Melissa Smith and Michelle Smith; three grandchildren: Braxton Davis, Chavel Yvoughne and Jyluer Joshua Lyle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Lyle Smith Sr. and Fern Hamblin Smith.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11AM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home with Military honors by the American Legion Post 11.
