Our Beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, Shirley Yvonne Janes (McQuivey), passed away unexpectedly early Christmas Day at her home in Great Falls, Montana. She was born on July 27, 1960 to William Wesley Janes and Shirley Ann Raymond Janes in Eugene, Oregon. Her early years were filled with lots of travel as her father was a migrant worker, and went wherever the work took him. She graduated from Hiwassee Dam High School in Murphy, North Carolina in 1978. From there she joined the Marine Corps where she attended boot camp in Cherry Point, North Carolina. She served in the Marine Corps from 1978 to 1988, including being stationed in Washington DC, Okinawa, Japan and Oklahoma City, Ok. While in Oklahoma City, she met Alan McQuivey and they were married in 1986. They moved to Utah and after the birth of her oldest child, she left her military service to raise her family. They went on to have 4 more children, and one angel baby. They later divorced. After her divorce, Yvonne found herself once again living a migrant-type lifestyle, living in Nevada, California, and China, finally settling in Montana. Her favorite past-times were crocheting, knitting, sewing, crafting, and puzzle solving. Although her later years were plagued with many hardships and health conditions, she managed to navigate her difficulties by developing wonderful relationships with neighbors and coworkers. She will be missed by many people around the country in Oregon, California, Oklahoma, Utah, Alaska, Montana, and more. She was preceded in death by her father: William; siblings: Patricia Drolette, Daniel Janes, Laura Drolette Furgerson, Lee Janes; son: Aaron McQuivey Yvonne is survived by her children: Andrew and Maggie McQuivey and their children McKenna, Scotland, Evelyn and Leighton, of Vernal, Utah; Wesley McQuivey of Great Falls, Montana; Jeremy and Jocelyn McQuivey and their children Joshua, Jordin, James, Jasmine and Jackson of Fairview, Tennessee; Sara and Russell Kirby and their children Vivian and Helen of St. George, Utah; Joseph McQuivey of Great Falls, Montana; mother: Shirley Janes of Corning, California; siblings: Carol and Leroy Day of Los Molinos, California; Linda and Steve Field of Sparks, Nevada; William Jr. and Lyn Janes of Medford Oregon; William and Stacey Janes of Vernal, Utah.
