Agustin Acevedo Obituary
Agustin Jesus "Gus" Acevedo passed away on March 15, 2024 at the age of 85.
He was born on April 26, 1938 to Guadalupe Guerrero Torres and Jose Acevedo Lopez in Oaxaca, Mexico. Agustin married Maria Guzman in 1976 in Barstow, California.
Agustin enjoyed being outside, gardening, and loving his family. He worked many years as a social worker, getting kids into a better environment. He always loved helping people. He entered the Priesthood at a very young age where he served his Lord for many years, until finding the love of his life Maria. He loved her very much and his children even though they didn't see it that way. He was stubborn, but fierce. Fought for what he loved. He may not have been the perfect father, but he did his very best to make sure his kids were taken care of. He was extremely proud of each of children and wanted nothing more than to become a family again.
He is survived by: he is survived by his daughter Ruth (Ryely) Anderson and his niece Rocio Pacheco, Sister Maria, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his mom, father, his lovely wife Maria, and granddaughter.
There will be no services held for Gus. Arrangements under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
