B. Pauline (Peeler) Zufelt

Beulah "Pauline"(Peeler) Zufelt, age 92, passed away on September 16, 2023. Pauline was born on July 30, 1931, to Overton Maxwell Peeler and Beulah (Harris) Peeler. She was the first of 4 children.

Pauline married Roy Zufelt on January 16, 1946, in Gallup, New Mexico. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in December 1954. They were married for 48 years when Roy passed away. They were blessed with 9 children: Roy Glen, Judy, Rex, Ray, Pam, Ronnie, Rick, Clee, and Debbie. Roy and Pauline lived in Southern Colorado most of their life. Pauline later moved to Vernal, Utah where she has lived the past 18 years.

Pauline loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed making quilts and embroidering on dish towels. Pauline made many, many quilts and donated them to the Shriner's Hospital. She loved being outdoors and in the mountains. Pauline took great pride in her yards, flowers, and her garden. Pauline loved to bake and do her fall canning. She was known for her pineapple pies. One of her favorite things to do was go to yard sales where she found many "treasures". She lived her last 16 years at the Ashley Valley Shadow Apartments, where she was a part of that close knit family.

Pauline worked for the Colorado School District, driving bus for 22 years. This, along with raising her children kept her very busy. Her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has allowed her to serve in many callings.

Pauline is survived by her children: Pam (Larry) Lee, Ronnie (Kathy) Zufelt, Rick (Janet) Zufelt, Clee (Carl) Staley; Daughter-in laws; Elaine Zufelt and Ann Zufelt, Grandchildren; Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren; Siblings: Josephine "Jo" Batey and Owen "Sweed" Peeler.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Overton Maxwell Peeler and Beulah Harris Peeler; sister Ola Peeler; husband Roy Zufelt; and children Roy Glenn, Judy, Rex, Ray, Debbie.

Graveside services will be held Saturday September 23,2023 at 11:00 am at the Red Mesa Cemetery, (County Road 103 E Hesperus, Co 81326).
