Bette Chandler Obituary

Bette Jean Chandler, age 78, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, with family members around her in Vernal, UT. We now celebrate her life which started in New York with Mother Helen, Father Milton, and Brother Roger. New York is also the place Bette gave birth to her three daughters: Mary, Sarah, and Faith. Bette's three sons were all born in Arizona: Michael, Daniel, Peter. Bette had three wonderful In-Laws: Victor, Benjamin, and Maribel which were just like to children to her.

While Bette made her way through Arizona, she most often found joy being a ray of hope for any person who just needed to know there was somebody willing to reach out. Bette could possibly be found talking to a hungry family about the services available to them and then provide food to hold them over. She liked to be closely involved. Bette always demonstrated the same principles of service as she guided others through tough situations in her work as a tax professional. People close to Bette, as she worked, knew the importance put on building rapport and making others feel comfortable.

People close to Bette knew how much she valued her friendships and enjoyed the opportunities to meet, whether it be out for a pastrami sandwich or at a church gathering. No matter where, you would see this beautiful woman doing her best to enjoy your company and the moment. These meetings provided everybody the opportunity to feel the light she radiated and if you made her laugh then it would be even more special. Bette worked hard and was able to eat the fruits of those labors as she celebrated her family's heritage in Israel. Going to Israel was a goal she had for many years, and it was important to her. In the end she was able to accomplish that goal.

Bette would say her legacy lives on through her greatest blessings. Those blessings are the blessings of her children. Bette had eight grandchildren spread across Arizona and Utah: Isabel, Victor Jr., Anthony, Faith, Hope, Addison, Talina, and Michael. Bette's three great grandchildren are also spread between Arizona and Utah: Matthew, Noah, and Adam. We will always be able to see a glimpse of her when one of the children smiles in just the right way. It's just one of the ways she will live on. You will forever be missed and never forgotten.
