Brittany M. Staley, of Vernal, UT, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2023, at the age of 39. Born in Anchorage, Alaska on January 17, 1984, to Bill Miller and Annette Salgado (Smart), Brittany's zest for life, authenticity, and unwavering strength became her defining characteristics.
Brittany grew up and forged many cherished memories surrounded by friends and family in Springville, Utah. Her motherhood journey began at 16 years old with the birth of her daughter Chloe. Despite the opposition she faced, Brittany was a beacon of resilience and dedication. She went on to achieve her GED and later, an Associate's Degree in Office Management from Provo College. It was during this transformative period that she met K.C. Staley, the love of her life. Together, they relocated to Vernal and were blessed with their son, Deegan.
Brittany had the rare ability to make everyone feel at ease in her presence. Genuine and straightforward, she had the courage to speak her mind without pretense. A fiercely loyal friend and family member, Brittany's generosity knew no bounds-whether it was with her time, resources, or advice.
Despite the debilitating flare-ups of her long-standing battle with Crohn's disease, Brittany remained a radiant light, always ready to lend an ear or offer straightforward counsel to those who sought it. Outside of these challenges, her vivacious and spunky nature shone through, always remembering birthdays and going the extra mile for those she held dear.
Brittany was a dedicated mother, wife, and especially doting grandmother to Greyson, whom she cherished immensely. A passionate artist with a knack for creating beautiful spaces, Brittany took immense joy in community outreach programs. She was a pillar of strength for many and had an outsized impact on countless lives, leaving a void that can never truly be filled.
Brittany is preceded in death by her little sister, McCall Miller and her brother-in-law Carl Joseph (C.J.) Staley. She leaves behind her loving husband, K.C. Staley; children, Chloe McCall Staley and Deegan Ryan Staley; grandson, Greyson Dean Ewing; parents, Bill Miller and Annette Salgado; parents-in-law Preston and Sarah Searle; and siblings William J.
