Carlyle Steven Hulet passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 74.
Steve was born on August 3, 1947 to Norma Lemmon and Carlyle Stevens Hulet in Cedar City, Utah. Steve married Caleen Baker on February 16, 1967 in Kanab, Utah and was sealed as a family in the Salt Lake Temple in 1989.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, beach trips, buying guns, being on the mountain, and fishing. Steve was a techy geek and loved having the latest Apple products. He liked having nice things and keeping them in pristine condition. Steve was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the Vernal Temple as an ordinance worker. In his younger years, he served in the Air Force and with that, spent time in the Philippines. He also served in the National Guard. Steve worked in the power industry most of his career. He retired from the Bureau of Reclamation as the Plant Manager of the Flaming Gorge Dam.
Steve is survived by his children Corry (Traci) Hulet, Ryan (Cindy) Hulet, Heather (Walter) Arce, Tyler (Katie) Hulet, 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Diane Harris, Valeen Brown, Lorraine Milstead, Craig Hulet, and Tom Hulet.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother "Boone" Hulet, and sister Debbie Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM and Saturday 9:45-10:45AM all at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park with Military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11.
