Casey Tyler DeSilva passed away on May 20, 2021 at the age of 36 after years of struggling with addiction. Casey arrived in the world part of a set with his twin sister Ashley on March 14, 1985 to Roger and Michelle DeSilva in Vernal, Utah. Casey married Kamille Dawn Scott on October 3, 2008 they later divorced. Casey and Kamille had two sons Cayson DeSilva born February 28, 2008 and Kyler DeSilva born August 13, 2010.
Casey enjoyed fishing with his sons, camping, country music, spending time with family and friends. He liked barbecues and sports. Casey adored his sons, they were his greatest accomplishment. Casey spent his early years working in the oilfield then he became an Iron Worker and joined the local union. Casey was a hard worker and was always willing to help others. He had a heart of gold. Addiction took a toll on him and robbed him of everything good in his life. He tried and tried to overcome his addiction but in the end it was too much for his body to handle. Casey is survived by his parents: Roger (Gail) DeSilva of Gaffney, South Carolina and Michelle Mann DeSilva of Lyman, Wyoming; his precious sons Cayson and Kyler DeSilva; twin sister Ashley Hawkins, sister Lyndsy (Eric) DeSilva of Texas, brother Trevor (Courtni) DeSilva of Vernal; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Opal DeSilva, uncle Tom Desilva, grandma Maxine Mann, aunt and uncle Veone and John Clark.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 12Noon at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing for family and friends will be held 11:00-11:45a.m. at the mortuary.
