Clarence Boren Obituary

Clarence "Butch" Boren passed away January 8, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born on May 21, 1941 to Ted and Reva Killian Fisher. They later divorced. Reva married Jack Boren and Butch became a beloved member of this new family. He shared many great memories with both families.

Butch took State in wrestling while attending Uintah High. After graduating in 1959, he married Sandra Freestone. They were great parents to their 3 children and provided a loving home for friends, family and many cats and dogs. Butch had a strong work ethic and took pride in everything he did. He worked for HAFB for many years and retired from the FAA as a regional manager. After retiring, they moved back to Vernal and he became a rancher. He later opened Basin Steel where he made many good friends and was known for his integrity and willingness to help people.

Butch loved his family more than anything and made sure every one of us knew it. He is survived by his wife Sandra and their children, Jeff, Nancy, Becky and his dog Shilo. Siblings: Tod Boren, Darr Fisher, Eric Fisher, Kelvin Fisher and Sandra Oman. He has 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Reva Boren and Ted and Naomi Fisher, his brother Jack Boren Jr. and his in-laws Mark and Lois Freestone.

Dad will be greatly missed. Looking back, we realize he taught us many lessons, some seeming a little harsh, some a little too soft and some that left us thinking we got away with something! In the end we learned love, responsibility, compassion, and that there's nothing bailing twine and duck tape can't fix! Thanks Dad.

A viewing will be held on January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Ashley Valley Funeral Home with a graveside at 11:30 in the Vernal City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to Buddy's fund at Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Vernal or to your local animal shelter.
