Cleo Wooley Proctor passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 30, 2021, at the age of 86.
Cleo was born on February 27, 1935, to Della Moosman and Milton E. Wooley in Lapoint, Utah. She was the 5th of 8 children.
Her early years were spent growing up on their farm in Lapoint, Utah.
She married Lynn Frank McClure on December 22, 1951. Together they had 4 children. She and Lynn later divorced.
In 2000, she married Clinton "Shorty" Proctor, and moved to Phoenix, AZ where they lived until he passed away March 16, 2002.
Cleo held numerous positions in the church. She worked doing genealogy extraction, and later was called to be a temple worker in the Vernal Temple, where she served for 4 years.
She loved being a caregiver to her Father and Mother, and many others. She enjoyed taking her Mother, Son and Grandkids up to the mountain fishing, and going to all the family get-togethers. Over the years she worked in various restaurants and motels. Her favorite being The Ute Bottle Hollow Resort. There she gained many Native Friends and had the opportunity to meet the famous news commentator Paul Harvey.
Her hobby was doing embroidery work. Some she made for the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her last job was working in the day care at Prime Time 4 Kids with her daughter Trudy. She loved little children.
Cleo is survived by her three children, Trudy Boren (the late Jack L. Boren Jr.) of Vernal, Wendel McClure of Tridell, UT, and Darla (Jack) Dotter of Vernal. Three Sisters, Berta Young of Salt Lake City, Utah, Nila Jean (John) Eldredge of Lehi, Utah, and Eileen Yano of Salt Lake City, Utah. Two Brothers, Weldon Wooley of Vernal, UT, and Norman Wooley of Vernal, Utah. 6 GrandChildren, and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Proctor, a son, Thomas McClure, her best friend and loyal companion Lady Lou, her parents, Milton and Della Wooley, two sisters, Ione Wooley, and Velda Corralz, two sister in-laws, Georgia Lee Wooley, Mable Wooley, and a son in law, Jack L. Boren Jr.
Funeral services for Cleo will be held Thursday August 5, 2021, at 11:00am. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, and Thursday from 9:45am - 10:45am all at Stone Hollow Event Center (1010 North Vernal Ave).
