David Lee Voyles passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021 at the age of 67 in his mother's home.
David was born on April 24, 1954 to Marie Merkley Voyles and Jack Lee Voyles in Vernal Utah. David graduated from Uintah High School in 1972, then served in the United States Navy.
David is survived by his Mother, Marie M. Voyles, his son, Lee (Rory) Cookman, and his daughter, Angela Taylor. Also 6 grandchildren, Elisha, Eva, Maisey, Willoughby, Ahijah and Titus Cookman.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Jack L. Voyles and sister, Vickie Lynne Jackson
David had a special love and talent for music. He played the piano, guitar and the drums in different bands over the years and enjoyed playing for his mom and family. David was also talented and enjoyed building and making various items to sell or give as presents.
David was a big Nascar fan, he didn't miss very many car races on T.V. Anyone who knew him, knew he loved the Kansas City Chiefs. David spent many hours cat fishing, ice fishing or just sitting by the lake fishing.

Funeral services for David will be held Thursday December 16, 2021 at 11:00am at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Visitation and viewing for family and friends Thursday from 9:45am ~ 10:45am at the Funeral Home. Interment in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11.
