James Corbin Castleman passed away on May 3rd, 2021 at the age of 71. James was born on September 1, 1949 to Corbin Castleman and Jessie Huff in Tacoma WA. James most often went by Jim. Jim, began his adult life by swearing into the Navy and serving two tours in the Vietnam war. Following his service he traveled the United States, finding work and amazing stories on his journey. Eventually, Jim planted roots with Bonnie Piccolo, they had 3 children together before separating many years later. During this time Jim mainly worked for Intel, as a software engineer, having a natural skill with computers, Jim excelled in his work. Jim was an excellent pool player, when living in North Ogden, it wasn't strange for Jim to stop in at The Ranch and play a few games. Or to hear a story or two about his wondering years, and betting on pool to get money for his travels. Jim started working on cars early in life, and passed the knowledge down to his son James (Jimmy), also passing down his love for hunting. Jim and his only son Jimmy were very close, you would frequently find them under the hood of a car, or up in the mountains. In 2012 Jimmy passed away in a work related accident, this hit Jim incredibly hard. Later in life Jim got a trailer and decided to wonder like he did in his youth. Usually traveling between family to visit he would stop to prospect along the way, always having researched the best places to go. During the summers Jim would visit his daughters and grandkids in Ogden, UT and Arizona. Vernal, Ut where his daughter Tauni lives, he had always maintained a particularly close relationship with his grandson Colton Castleman.
He is survived by: Sister Judy and Fred Hanke; Daughter Tauni (Castleman) and Zack Koyle of Vernal, Ut and children Eli, Colton, Sydney, Levi, Pailee, and Bryce; Daughter Alyssa and Hugo Caballero of Surprise, AZ and children Venicio and Luciano; Daughter In-Law Jessica Bingham and children Kiyler and Keyan.
He is preceded in death by: Father Corbin Castleman; Mother Jessie Huff; Sister Connie McAllister; Son James C. Castleman II.
