Jane (Thacker) Rasmussen

Jane (Thacker) Rasmussen returned home to her Heavenly Father on September 27, 2023 at the age of 68. She was born on November 18, 1954 to Lowell and Colleen (McNeil) Thacker in Heber, Utah, she is the fourth of six children. She spent her childhood in Charleston, Utah and later moved to Whiterocks, Utah where her father had taken a job at the local fish hatchery. There she met her husband Rodney Rasmussen and on January 12, 1974 they married in Roosevelt, Utah and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. During the 49 years of marriage to Rodney, they were blessed with three daughters: Jenifer, Jamie and Kayleen.

She loved outings in the mountains, cooking, baking, card and board games, crocheting, quilting, flowers, reading romance novels, family campouts, scouting for Christmas trees, passing time with her grandchildren and made the most delicious cinnamon rolls. Jane was very kind and generous and loved her family with all her heart. She will be missed dearly and always remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Rodney, daughters; Jenifer, Jamie, Kayleen (Josh) Hill, grandchildren; Maycee, Hunter, and Jazmin Hill. Siblings; LaRae (Larry) Taylor, Duane (Jackie) Thacker, Neil (Debbie) Thacker, Jim (Becky) Thacker.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Colleen Thacker and brother Wayne Thacker.

Celebration of Life for Jane will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Whiterocks LDS Chapel (4817 East 11500 North) where friends and family may gather to share their memories of Jane. Graveside services will be held Friday October 6th at 1:00pm in the Heber City Cemetery (680 North 550 East, Heber City). Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
