Jared Don Allred of Vernal, Utah passed away on November 16, 2023. He was born March 29, 1983 in Vernal, Utah to Don and Polly Allred.
Jared had a voracious love for hunting that started at a very young age. At 5 years old nothing that moved was safe. He quickly proved himself to be lethal with a slingshot and a BB gun. When he was a little boy he could always be found in the field behind his house hunting magpies. As he grew older, he was always in the mountains. The place he was most at home was calling to the elk, guiding others on hunts, or spending time at their family cabin. He had several trail cams all over the valley and he loved studying for the hunt as much as the hunt itself.
Jared worked in the oilfield most of his life, but as of late, he started his own business tinting windows and clear coating vehicles. This had always been a hobby of his and he decided to make it into a career. He joined up with Jade Christophersen and together they had J. R. Coating and Tint. He had proved himself a skilled craftsman in the community in a short time. He was extremely successful. He loved his job and his clients. He was so grateful to the community for his success.
Jared never met a stranger. He had a huge personality and loved antagonizing people that he loved to show them. Everyone had a "loving" nick name from him. He had an immense friend group and he thought of everyone as family. If he loved you, you knew it. He was hilarious. He was always making silly videos and doing random things with his friends and their kids. He was mischievous, stubborn, intelligent, determined, and most of all, kind. He made an impact on everyone he knew. He clearly didn't know the magnitude of his presence. I wish he knew a fraction of how loved he really was.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jack and Virginia Allred and uncle John Allred.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Polly Allred of Vernal, Utah; his sister, Shona (Heath) Johnson of Rosenberg, Tx; nieces Annette and Abbee Johnson also of Rosenberg, Tx, grandmother Joy Boehmer, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that we consider family.
If you are struggling with depression or mental health, we ask that you please reach out to someone. Remember that you are loved even if you cannot see it. We would like to remind everyone that the suicide prevention hotline is 988.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love from his friends and the community. We knew that Jared was loved by many, but the amount of people that have reached out is overwhelming. Again, thank you for all of the support during some of the most horrible days of our lives.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Vernal Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
