Jerome (Jerry) Charles Snow, age 80, of Vernal, Utah, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the University of Utah Medical Center. Jerry was born on March 12, 1942, in Chicago Height, IL and grew up around Momence, IL.
Jerry worked for Belco in Big Piney, Wyoming and then moved to Moab, Utah where he worked part time as a Park Ranger. He later moved to Vernal, Utah and worked for Northwest Pipeline, CIG, Coastal Oil and Gas, Williams and EOG Resources.
Jerry loved to draw, read books, and was a thinker. He loved to go on cattle drives with Dale Snow. Jerry loved all animals; among them was his horse (Sooner), many dogs and cats. Jerry also loved camping and road trips to Arizona with best friends, Spence and Sandi Davis. He loved his four wheelers and loved his boat. He also like metal detecting and snowmobiling.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife of 40 1/2 years, Cheryle Snow; daughters Fonda (Malcolm) Nix of Clemmons, North Carolina and Karen (Erik) Turner of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother Dave (Sharon) Snow of Elbert, CO; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three nieces: Valarie Campbell, Sherry Snow, and Lynn Snow; 3 nephews: Steve Snow, Stuart Snow, and Mark Campbell; previous wife Mary Young; and a very close childhood friend, Paul Loverin, Momence, IL.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00AM starting and the Traci and Bodie Session Residents (2598 West 2700 North) and will continue at Jerry's home 6006 North 3000 West on Taylor Mountain Road, 6 miles north of the Maeser 7-11.
