John L Price

John L Price, 69, passed away peacefully in his home with his daughter Darik by his side on the evening of November 2, 2023. He was born January 31, 1954, to John and Frances Price in Vernal, Utah. He was the oldest of five children. He grew up on his family's farm and established a good work ethic from a very young age. He wasn't afraid to work hard and loved a good challenge - there was nothing he couldn't do.

Johnny graduated from Uintah High School in 1972 and was well-known for being a 3-time state champion and an All-American wrestler. He later attended Utah State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business. He worked as a general contractor. He had a love for building and fixing things.

He married Donna Adams on December 26, 1986, and they were blessed with two daughters, Darik and Darian. He often reminded his girls to "try their best" and couldn't have been more proud of them. Being a father came easy, and raising his daughters was the highlight of his life. The only thing that outshined the happiness that his daughters gave him were his grandchildren. Johnny's family was his greatest accomplishment in his life of many.

He enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening, bonfires, fishing, cooking for his loved ones, and playing ping pong weekly with friends.

Johnny had unwavering faith and a passion for Christ. Jesus was his favorite topic, and he would talk about Him to anyone who would listen. He had a big heart and was quick to forgive, saw the best in people, and loved to serve others.

He is survived by his daughters, Darik Price (Braden Samuels) and Darian (Nicholas) Eaton; his grandsons, Brody and Brooks Eaton, and granddaughter, Braelyn Samuels; his father, John Price; and his siblings, Danny Price, Derk Price, and Cathy Hall.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Price, and his brother, Bart Price.

Graveside services for John will be held Wednesday November 8, 2023 at 1:00pm in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
