Justin Grant Cooper

Justin Grant Cooper, 57, of Vernal, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on October 9th. He was born September 17, 1963, in Vernal, Utah to Stewart and Marketa Cooper. Justin graduated from Uintah High School in 1982 and spent his life in Vernal, Utah. He married his best friend on February 14, 1983, and together they shared a wonderful son.

Justin loved spending his time off fishing, camping, sail boating and rock hunting with his family. He treasured his son and embraced every moment with him. He especially loved his role as grandpa and spending quality time doing the things he loved. Justin worked various jobs throughout his life but especially enjoyed working at Roofing World and Vernal Builders.

Justin is survived by his wife, Tonjia Cooper, his son and wife Jacob and Nichelle Cooper; grandchildren, Lilli Anne Davies, Gabrielle Davies, Jace Cooper, Hudson Pummell and Berkley Pummell; his mother Marketa Cooper; his sister and husband Yvonne and Troy Corless, his sister and husband Letitia and Sonny Kilgrow; his aunt Cheryl Richens; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Justin is preceded in death by his father Stewart Cooper, his sister Yvette Corless, his grandparents Earl and May Massey, Henry and Rosie Pehacek, Brother-in-law Jerry Massey, and Uncle Grant Richens.

A public Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM with a viewing from 9:45am - 10:45am at the St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father Showri officiating.
