Juventino Martinez Herrera

Juventio "Joe" Martinez Herrera, age 94 of Vernal, peacefully passed away on Thursday July 28, 2022, surrounded by his family. Joe moved his family in 1972 from California to Vernal, Utah, where he lived a fulfilled life until he was 94.

He enjoyed working at I.G.A. and Ashton's as a meat cutter. He also had his own business in auto detailing. He took pride in his family and enjoyed music, fishing, camping, cooking, and associating with everyone. He made friends everywhere he went. His gracious charm touched everyone he knew.

Joe is survived by his daughters; Suzanne Herrera, Diana Goodrich, his son; Arthur Herrera, his sister; Mary Garcia, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Joe is proceeded in death by his wife LaLa Herrera, his son Alfred Herrera, and his brothers Gabriel and Chito.

A private family celebration of life for Joe will be held at a later date. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
