Karen Louise (Holland) Douglas born March 4,1970 of Salt Lake City, Utah peacefully passed Sunday, November 14,2021 in her home of Vernal, Utah surrounded by family after a fearless ten-year battle to cancer.
Karen, raised in the faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served a faithful mission in the Manchester, England area. After returning home she married her husband Patrick in the St. George, Utah temple June 20,1997. Together they raised three children, a daughter and two sons. Her faith in God and determination to live made it so that she was able to meet her first Grand baby.
She loved to read and listen to music but more importantly being a mother and wife. Some of her biggest accomplishments included leaving High School in 1988 with sufficient credits to graduate but she received a delayed diploma from Carbon High School thirteen years later. She became a certified Scuba Diver and received her CDL working as a Bus Driver for the Washington State Mt. Adams School District.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother's Ruth (Hicks) Holland and Cynthia (Widmark) Holland; father, James Holland; brothers, Steven and Scott Holland.
She is survived by her loving husband Patrick; daughter, Rebekah (Douglas) Evans; grandson, Douglas Evans; sons, Colter and Aaron; brothers David, Sterling and Kevin Holland; sisters, Liz (Holland) Bevell, Thais (Holland) Fultz and Tatiana (Holland) Bennett.
Karen will be dearly missed but is leaving behind a legacy of compassion and inspiration.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20th at 2:00p.m. at the Davis 1st Ward Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). A viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the church. Interment will be in Vernal Memorial Park under the Direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
