Keith K Hartle

Keith K Hartle passed away on August 22, 2021 at the age of 82. Keith was born on September 26, 1938 to Dona (Bigelow) Hartle and C. Kenneth Hartle in Lapoint, Utah. He married his sweetheart Carma Taylor on June 17, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Keith loved spending time with his family, tending his apple orchard of over 500 trees and visiting with friend and neighbors. One of his favorite pastimes was strolling through the orchard and letting visitors sample every delicious variety of apples he grew. Keith loved the gospel and served as Bishop of the Lapoint Ward for seven years, during which time he oversaw the building of the Lapoint Chapel.

Keith is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carma Hartle, children; Todd (Sharon) Hartle, Scott (Ross) Hartle and Jana (Chris) Jones; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; siblings Max (Bev) Hartle, Jay (Lois) Hartle, Don (Pat) Hartle, Glen (Kathy) Hartle, Reed (Rita) Hartle, Kenna Dee (Jay) Hurren, and Leeann (Leon) Richens.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son Duane, parents Dona and Kenneth Hartle, in-laws, Fontella and Harvey Taylor, and sister-in-law Dixie Hartle.

Special thanks to friends Clinton Nielson, Dave Oaks, Craig Hansen for always being there for him. Also, to Dr. Staker and his nurse Ginny, the Uintah Basin Hospice team and nurse Shyann for their tender love and care.

Graveside Services for Keith will be held Thursday August 26, 2021 at 11am at the Lapoint Cemetery (7300 North Paradise Park Road). Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday morning from 9:30am - 10:30am at the Lapoint LDS Chapel (6877 North 10600 East).
