Kelden Massey passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 33. Kelden was born on July 14, 1990 to Larry Massey and Shelly Massey in Roosevelt, UT.
Kelden enjoyed spending time outdoors. He liked hunting, fishing, riding ATV's, and camping. From a very young age Kelden showed his creative artistic talent. He liked working with his hands and tearing things apart just to see how they worked. He loved everything fast and big. He was a hard worker and loved to operate heavy equipment, but would and could do anything that was asked of him.
He loved God and strived to put Him first. He recently rededicated his life to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He liked attending church services, activities, and participating in service projects for the community and Church members. He also enjoyed preforming baptisms for the dead in the temple.
He was a friend to all. If you ever found yourself in a bind, he was the one you could count on to drop everything. Whether it was day or night he would be there to help you (or sometimes he was the one getting you in the bind). He gave whatever he could, even when he didn't have much himself, and did not expect anything in return.
He had a big heart, contagious laugh, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He was the type of person to tease you, scare you, and make you laugh. He was also the one that would give you a big hug and offer comfort when needed. He felt your pain as much as you did. He made an impact on everyone he knew.
He loved his family and friends and was fiercely protective of them.
He is survived by his parents Larry Massey and Shelly Massey, sisters Chelsie (Ty) Jensen of Spanish Fork, UT, and Breann (Justin) Spence of Vernal, UT; nephew Parker Jensen; nieces Addi, Emery, Lyndin Jensen, Avery and Baby Girl Spence. Girlfriend Misty Larsen. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that were considered family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Valda and Donna Massey, Rayma Gardner, a half brother Brock Massey, great aunt Marjorie Harrison, and many close friends.
We as a family are so grateful for the amount of love, prayers, and support we have received with the loss of our son and brother. Kelden was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
