Kevin Bowman Obituary

Kevin J Bowman passed away on January 15, 2022 at the age of 63. Kevin was born on November 26, 1958 to Wilma Jeanne Williams and William (Bill) LaDale Bowman in Merced, California where he grew up and graduated from Merced Union High School. He served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mission.

Kevin married Lynnette Ann Owens on October 23, 1981 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They shared a wonderful life together and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. During their married life they lived in Idaho, Alaska, and Utah. The last thirty years have been in Santaquin. Together they raised four children and are the proud grandparents of twelve grandchildren.

He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was gentle by nature, yet also very sarcastic. He was a good friend to many. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband and enjoyed spending time with his family. Kevin also enjoyed working on projects, which over the last several years included beautiful stained glass creations. He found a lot of satisfaction in working with stained glass and shared his work with many people. He also enjoyed working around the yard, woodworking, and watching TV and movies. He loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

Kevin was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and devoted much time and energy to serving in many different capacities. He blessed the lives of many through his service as a counselor in three bishoprics, as well as in several other stake and ward callings. He also served his community as an EMT for many years.
Kevin worked at several different jobs throughout his life and always enjoyed good friendships with coworkers. He worked at Fritzi, Banta, Neways, and most recently at Apple Valley Vision. He was a devoted worker and good with people. He was able to make people feel like they were the most important person in the world.

He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Bowman, his children, Meghan (Tommy) DeGraffenried, Josh (Ashley) Bowman, Kristen (Spencer) Cook, and Shaili (Eric) Draper, 12 grandchildren, siblings, Eric (Carmen) Bowman, David (Sabrina) Bowman, and LuAnn Bowman.
