Lisa Jacobsen Hacking passed away on November 15, 2022 at the age of 65. Lisa was born on April 3, 1957 to David and Rae Jacobsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lisa married Mitchell Hacking on December 1,1978 in Vernal, Utah.
Lisa was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lisa graduated from Uintah High School where she participated in the Uintah High Drill Team. She was a talented dancer and won awards such as Outstanding Marcher. On a Senior trip to tour the campus of Utah State University in Logan, Utah, she met the love of her life Mitch in a bookstore. After graduation she would drive her beloved Volkswagen Bug to Logan taking her dancing talent with her to participate in couples dance competitions with Mitch. There wasn't a time when a band was playing that they didn't take the chance to sweep the floor.
Interior design came very naturally to her. She could see a room and visualize all the different ways to make it look like it belonged in a magazine. She had an amazing fashion sense that carried her with class everywhere she went. She idolized her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. She loved watching them in all their activities and making holidays grand for her family.
Lisa is survived by her husband Mitchell; her three children Marissa (Beau'de) Oaks, Dace Hacking, Jared David (Whitney) Hacking; ten grandchildren, and one great grandson. Also, her father David Jacobsen, brother Jeff Jacobsen, and two sisters Erin Mayberry and Amy Workman.
She is preceded in death by her mother Rae Jacobsen and brother John Jacobsen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Uintah Conference Center.
