Paul enjoyed many things in life such as rendezvous, the whole mountain man experience, and designing and creating his mountain man persona. Golfing was one of his favorite hobbies as well as woodworking, oak was his favorite wood to work with. Being the historical buff he was, he enjoyed traveling the many scenic highways and byways that included the national parks, in many of the western states. He liked going on Sunday drives up the mountain to visit his favorite places, he was a mountain man at heart in many ways.

Paul was a very hard worker for the beverage industry, he started working for Pepsi Cola at the age of 17 in Indiana and retired 45 years later working for Admiral Beverage Pepsi Cola. He loved the Vernal area and supported many community projects, including helping build the Western Park Rodeo Grounds. He was a member of the DinaMites and the Rotary Club. He spent the last 20 years before retirement as the Area Manager in Vernal, Utah for his dedication, he was awarded many opportunities to travel with Admiral Beverage, he and Marie traveled to Switzerland, France, Italy, Monte Carlo, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Hawaii and many other fabulous places around the United States.

After retirement, he spent 8 years working at Dinaland Golf Course as a grounds keeper, one of the perks of working at the golf course was being able to work alongside Marie who was also a grounds keeper. The job he was most proud of was working as a dump truck driver for Spyco, and working alongside his son. He and dumpy had a great relationship.
