Rocky Harrison

Rocky Harrison, a devoted husband, loving father, and skilled outdoorsman, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 7, 2023. He was 71 years old.
He was born to Stanley and Ruth (Johnson) Harrison on November 4, 1951 in Vernal, Utah.

Rocky grew up surrounded by the rugged beauty of the region, which instilled in him a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the joys of nature.

Rocky is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadette, and their children: sons; Jeremy and Jason, daughters; Misty and Nichol. He was also a cherished brother to Richard, Sister Gloria, Sister Vicky, Stanley Lou, Max, and Sister Judy. Rocky leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth in his 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, in addition to his immediate family.

Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ruth Harrison, and his siblings, Stanley Lou, Max, and Sister Judy.

A man of the great outdoors, Rocky found solace and joy in nature. He had a passion for camping, fishing, hunting, and the tranquility of the wilderness. Rocky's immense love for the natural world extended to his passion for hunting rocks, and he was known for his expertise in discovering hidden treasures in the earth. Whether he was on a hunting expedition or creating beautiful woodwork in his workshop, Rocky's enthusiasm was infectious, and his creations stand as a testament to his creativity and dedication.

In accordance with Rocky's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Instead, a celebration of his life will be held at Harrison Residence (1329 West 250 South) on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Food and drinks will be provided to honor and remember the wonderful life he led.

May Rocky rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness and the rocks he adored, with the love of his family always surrounding him.
