Ronnnie Gene Pierce, 80, peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on April 16, 2024.
Son of Charles Albert Pierce and Claudia Leona Darling, Pierce. Eternal companion to Beverly Price, Pierce, father to Tiffani (Max) Hudkins of Pocola, Oklahoma. Stepfather to DaShell (Travis) Oldham of Greeley, Colorado, Robyn (Mitch) White of Vernal, Utah, R.J (Tash) Sessions of Herriman, Utah. Grandfather to Kord (Kelsey) Hudkins, Madison Hudkins, Cahill (Brittany) Oldham, Haley (Kaden) Abplanalp, Trestyn Oldham, Spencer Oldham, Breanna (Cameron) Carter, Brynlee White, Brooklyn White, Kadison Sessions, Keaten Sessions, Kalli Sessions and eight great grandchildren and one on the way.
Ron was born on March 16, 1944 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He graduated high school in 1962. He served in the Army National Guard for 7 years and continued his patriotism throughout his life. He worked in the oil and gas industry in various capacities. Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ron and Bev heard the bells on Christmas Day as they tied the knot in 1984, and were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Vernal, Utah Temple.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his infant son Todd Pierce, brother, Charles Albert Pierce Jr, sisters, Norma Lee Pierce, Gearal Dene Moneypenny, brother-in-law, Roy Moneypenny, mother and father in-law, Bud and Deon Price, brother in-law, Dale Price.
Ron was a southern gentleman. He had a quiet confidence that always put the interests of others first. He was a genuine soul who never sought acknowledgment for the kind deeds that he did for others. He was always kind and respectful to all those who he crossed paths with. He loved his family more than anything and cherished the "queen of the house", his little dog Sophie.
Funeral services for Ronnie will be held Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday 9:30-10:45AM at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post 11 and the Patriot Guard Riders. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
