Rosita Maria Beatrice (Ortega) Zufelt

Rosita Marie Zufelt passed away on March 18, 2024 at the age of 82. Rose was born on August 30, 1941 to Maria Rosa Lucero Ortega and Roque Ortega in Coyote, New Mexico. Rose married Kenneth Hackford Zufelt on January 5, 1957 in Gusher, Utah.

Born in a small town in New Mexico, Rose's family moved to Tabiona, Utah in her teen years where she met her eventual husband, Kenneth Zufelt.

Rose loved spending time with her loved ones and was always willing to help someone in need. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She loved to knit, the outdoors, and horses. She loved listening to her husband sing and play the guitar.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roque and Maria Ortega; siblings Levi Ortega, Ben Velasques, LeRoy Ortega, Tony Velasques, Madgelina Olivas; as well as Wayne Zuftelt, Theron Zufelt, daughter-in-law Virginia Thompson Zufelt; and grandson, Kaiden Erickson.

Rose is survived by her son, Kenneth Zufelt and her daughter Kennedy Rose Zufelt; grandchildren Kenny (Kim) Wolfe, Jacob Zufelt, Joshua Zufelt, Sydney Zufelt, Matthew Zufelt, Mary Dietrick, Zane Zufelt, Shaylei Bardon, Miranda Harmston, Roquelle Bardon, and Janelle Bardon. Also survived by her great grandchildren, Ember Zufelt, Marrissa Wolfe, Zoey Wolfe, Brooklyn Wolfe, TrinaDee Erickson, Jenaiah Erickson, and Kenzlee Atwood.
