Shirley Ann Berry Welch was born December 7, 1935 and passed away May 8, 2022, in Vernal, UT after having lived a full life, to join her sweetheart, Noel Maynard Welch, after 27 years of separation.
Shirley was born in Sarah, MS the second of 6 children to Connie Beatrice Frazier and William Francis Berry. She married her high school sweetheart on December 22, 1953, and they had four children, Noel Michael Welch (passed away in 2008), Patricia "Trish" Kingsford (Tracie), Ronald Keith Welch (Irene), and Sharla Berry, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grands & 3 great-great grands.
Shirley lived with her husband and children, in many states including HI, TX, CO, UT, MI, IN and MS while her husband completed his military career. She supported her husband from home while he served a year in the Viet Nam war in 1972-1973.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ all the days of her life. She was always willing to serve where needed.
She was preceded in death by her son Noel Michael Welch, granddaughter Boni Berry, grandsons Robert Welch and Terrance Maynard Blauer and several brothers-in-law and sisters, and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held Saturday at 10:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Senatobia, Mississippi. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30am -10:30am at the church. Interment in the LDS Cemetery in Sarah, Mississippi.
