Siegried Bru Obituary

Siegried Clyde Bru, age 84, passed away peacefully at home in Dutch John, Utah, March 2, 2024.

Sieg was born December 1, 1939, in Marshalltown, lowa, to George and Gertrude Bru. He had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He married the love of his life, Linda Diane Smith in 1960. They had 10 children.

Siegried graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1958. He then joined the Marines and served from 1958 to 1962. He became a Utah Highway Patrolman in 1970 and retired in 1992. He went on to work for the Bureau of Reclamation at the Flaming Gorge Dam before retiring. He loved to do yard work and always had a beautiful green lawn and was always so proud of it. He was a great husband and father, and he loved his family very much.

Sieg's Children: Ingrid, Eric (Vista), Kirstien, Heidi (Mike), Gretchan (Jeff), Christain (Gabe), Mandie (Amador), Ashlee (Dave), Amie (Travis), Gabriel.

Grandchildren: Madisan (Mason), Gabrielle (Mike), Makensie, Makinan, Duncan (Selenia), Shanndan, Carsen (Kodee), Abbie, Melody, Tavin, Nolee, Zoie, Haven, Siegielin, Fisher, Eden, Peyton, Malorie, Ryder, Gunnar, Quordilia, Quinn, Harper, Lincoln.

Great-Grandchildren: Aria, EmyaClyde, Waylon, Baby LaCombe.

A Celebration of Life for Sieg will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, 12Noon, at the Uintah Conference Center Paradise Room (313 East 200 South), with Military Honors by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard, American Legion Post 11 and the Utah Highway Patrol. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
