Vincent (Vince) Rodarte passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 13, 2024 at the age of 66. Vince was born on June 2, 1957 to Ramona Sanchez and Pete Rodarte in Delta, Colorado. Vince married Diane Luna on July 3, 1976 in Cedaredge, Colorado.
Growing up Vince enjoyed wrestling, baseball, track, and football. As entertainment he and his friends would go swimming and sledding. Throughout his life he took great pleasure in camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, mechanics, gambling, and playing pool. You could always find Vince building something, treasure hunting, collecting rocks, working on wood projects, or admiring muscle cars.
He met the love of his life Diane in 1973, graduated high school in 1976, and they wed that July. They started their journey together by moving to Utah where they raised three wonderful children. After moving to Vernal he started working for Pitt Roofing. Later he went to work for American Gilsonite where he worked for 25 years. While working there he was awarded for his bravery and leadership skills while fighting a mine explosion.
After retirement he loved spending time with his granddaughters and great granddaughter. He was always showing off art work that he or Diane had drawn. He always said when it was his time to go, he wanted to go with two quarters so he had money to ante up to the table.
Vince is survived by wife Diane; children Justin (Kim) Rodarte, Telesha Rodarte, Mathew (Dagan) Rodarte; siblings Virginia Alred, Johnny (Jean) Rodarte, Robert Rodarte, Betty (Leeroy) Luna, and David Rodarte. Also survived by five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Ramona Rodarte; and siblings Josie Romero and Mary Garcia.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Canyon Home Health and Hospice for the care and love they showed to Vincent and the entire family.
